Acupuncturists
Kirsten Van Nostran MS, L.Ac. FABORM
Clinical Director
Kirsten Van Nostran holds a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine's New York Campus. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed as an acupuncturist by the State Medical Board of Ohio. In addition, she has done graduate level training in Oriental reproductive medicine, and is a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Ms. Van Nostran is a member of the following organizations:
- American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
- America Society of Reproductive Medicine
- Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
In 2002, Ms. Van Nostran founded Summit Acupuncture in Northeast Ohio, which specializes in pain management, women's health, and fertility. In addition to providing acupuncture treatment, Summit Acupuncture also offers lectures on all aspects of acupuncture, including safety, efficacy, and a broad range of disorders that may be improved with acupuncture. Kristy Ice, L.Ac.
Kristy is an Ohio State Medical Board licensed acupuncturist and holds a diplomate in Acupuncture from The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
She graduated summa cum laude from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio with a Professional Master's Degree in Acupuncture. Presently, she is serving as treasurer for the Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM).
Kristy looks forward to helping patients to improve their quality of their life and overall health. She strives to find the root of each individual's problem so she can guide the body to heal itself, relieving the symptoms causing discomfort.
In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time on the water with her husband and daughter, either boating, scuba diving, or fishing. She also likes traveling and being outdoors.
Massotherapy
Kristin Duve LMT
Kristin Duve is a massage therapist offering relaxation and deep tissue massage therapy as well as hot stone therapy, and chair massage. Kristin's areas of specialty include pregnancy massage and TMJ. Benefits of massotherapy include:
- Relaxation of muscle tissue
- Muscle recovery
- A reduction in headaches and/or nerve pain
Ms. Duve is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio and a registered member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Staff
Nancy Gordon
Nancy Belle Gordon began working for Summit Acupuncture in April of 2011 after retiring as a school administrator for 33 years. She is a wife, mother of 7, grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 8. Love is abundant in her family.
Dedication to customer service, embracing diversity, personal accountability, the quest for quality improvement, objectivity, fairness and consistency fuels her passion to make a difference in this world and to make it a better place for all.
Kelly Renick
Kelly joined the staff of Summit Acupuncture in 2007. She attended Stark State and Cuyahoga Community College, and has over 14 years experience working in the administrative field.
Kelly is a lifelong resident of Akron who has performed in local community theater, enjoys trips to Las Vegas, finding deals on EBay, and spending time with her husband, children, and cats.
